Alas they don't make those anymore. It could drive as fast in reverse as it could forward, just don't turn the wheel. ;)

Yeah, it's the fob thing. It needs to recognize the key in order to work. Not ideal if you ask me, but I guess that's progress?

>>36605 Does the 318 have a keyless fob? My brothers Renault Clio Sport gets upset if the keyless fob is in the same pocket as his phone and then refuses to start. Too many radio signals interfering with each other.

Perhaps your dad should buy a good old reliable DAF 600 :D

>>36597 Damn, it seems like a lot of car manufacturers are lacking in quality control these last few years. Maybe it has always been like this and I only remember it cause of age ;)

My dad bought a BMW 320 station wagon a year ago and the check engine light kept popping up. It took the garage and BMW Netherlands close to 6 months to discover the issue. My mom and dad were offered a different car, after some angry letters from my dad. German quality they say. So the current 318 won't start when his phone has wifi on, lol. He will NEVER buy a BMW again. Still, it's a great ride, very comfortable,

The car before that was a 2017 Nissan Qashqai (small SUV) that had ac issues. It was either on (freezing) or off.

And the 2005 Ford Focus before that had some weird sounds during idle after a while. All of the cars were second hand, btw. But bought from official garages and with warranty.

>>36573 This is how mini-fridges are made.

>>36596 I have a friend who had a pickup truck and was contacted by the manufacturer a couple of years ago and offered a good sum of money to buy it back because all the cars they made were in danger of snapping in half!?!
I think it was a Nissan Navaro but I'm not 100% sure.

I was going to say, typical rust belt truck with rusted cab mounts, but the rest of the truck looks relatively rust free. This is likely a case of a bent frame. From either overloading or an accident maybe? Truly a solidly used work horse!

I like 'em loaded heavy.

I had over 1100 pounds in this little truck.

17/08/20(Mon)21:58
That's a mighty big sectional for such a small truck

>>36512 so long as it's strapped, it seems good to go!

I like to secure the stuff I carry if it hangs out of the truck or goes up above the sides. Light weight stuff tends to get tied down too, as the wind behind the cab tends to lift it up and out of the box.

>>36509 That looks far better.

Btw, Are you required to use rope or netting or whatever is fitting when you haul something in your pickup or a regular car? And secondly, are you allowed to haul anything, beyond the measurement of the car? Like the guy in the pic does.

>>36508 Indeed. there are those like this that live near me.

I'm a big believer in trucks being used as trucks, instead of dainty "mall crawlers" or "pavement princesses".
