Something to post on a boring afternoon
16/04/15(Thu)20:24

This movie was listed as one of the worst films of the year. Don't even know its name. The point here is the great looking pistols Hollywood has thought to put in the film. I might just rent it to watch them go off.

>>30716 Yep. Morse was a nice, quiet retirement for him.

>>30715 hey, is that John Thaw? My mum loved him in Inspector Morse

A mash up of three old favourites from way back then. On second thought it might be the casual sexism that was more dangerous:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OEapAYjsMg

>>30705 Considering some of the car chase and fight scenes, live firing might have been a more sensible option.

>>30700 I used to notice that as a kid and assume it was the bullet ready to be fired :D I know better these days. UK laws wouldn't allow live or enabled weapons to be used, but they are better at hiding that now.

>>30667 Just noticed by enlarging the picture that the 'plugs' in the barrels are fully visible. The prop department should be told.

>>30667 Guv!

>>0 Picture reminded me of this image from "The Sweeney", a classic seventies cop show over here. Regan and Carter's revolvers look a bit wimpy in comparison though.

>>30656 Haven't seen it, Grim. I wonder if those actors get a 'boner' during some of those scenes? I certainly would.

>>30652 You have seen 'Friends with Benefits'? It's a romcom but still enjoyable.
If Mila ever takes her clothes off in front of me, I'll ask her to make a video ;)

Lot of good action and fun movies coming out this summer beginning with "Tomorrowland" on the 22nd of May.
>>30648 If that little beauty ever does a nuddie, let me know.

27/04/15(Mon)21:24

I just saw Jupiter Ascending, same shit..still no Mila nude though :(

Here's one of those entertaining films that's not great and almost forgettable, but overall it was a fun ride.

22/04/15(Wed)22:11

I think John Wayne is overrated as an actor, in general, but I love a few of his films (Quiet Man, Man who Shot Liberty Valance, Searchers).

True Grit (1969) is completely unrealistic in many ways, especially when compared to what the Coen's did.

>>30579 - Imitation Game was good until I did some research on the lead character and discovered the many liberties taken by hollywood.

21/04/15(Tue)17:11

Agreed on the girl part. The second girl's performance was much smoother. Robert Duvall was excellent in the first one.

21/04/15(Tue)00:49

>>30605 The first little girl, Darby Douglas did a good part but the newer girl really, really did a good job. That dickering scene, over the horses, was classic.
The Duke is hard to beat in this film. He is, after all, THE DUKE! Wasn't Robert Duvall Ned Pepper in one of them? I liked the sequel with Kathryn Hepburn also.

20/04/15(Mon)19:28

>>30579 True Grit is a great film. Both of them. I just can't tolerate strained, thick and labored accents. It just wasn't natural for Bridges. The acting on Damon's part was on point as the Texan. It would be hard for anyone to pull off and better present John Wayne's retort to being called a one-eyed fatman. "Fill your hands, you son-of-a-bitch"

18/04/15(Sat)10:54

>>30579 I too occasionally like to watch a film that allows me to disengage my brain and free-wheel for a while. I also enjoy my Sci-Fi and Horror/Thriller films.

>>30575 Well it's not like every film Hollywood makes is a weak remake of previous film... ...Oh wait. ;D

17/04/15(Fri)22:33

I thought True Grit was a great film; I see we have different tastes. I purchased this RIPD this afternoon from Walmart. It's the kind of stupidity I like. Tis not one of those films you eat cheese, drink wine and sit around telling each other about your rendition.
This week I watched The Imitation Game and Interstellar. Good movies. I don't have to figure a movie out with cheese and wine to like it.

17/04/15(Fri)14:13

...must..refrain..from...commenting.. ;)

17/04/15(Fri)13:58

so an afterlife version of MIB with Jeff Bridges and his crappy cowboy accent that he tortured us with in the remake of True Grit, plus a whole bunch of CG thrown in. Might be worth a Sunday afternoon watch

17/04/15(Fri)11:16

On second thought, I was just watching the trailer and this kind of stupid humor is right up my alley. I think I'm going to mosey on down to Walmart or Target and buy this movie.

17/04/15(Fri)11:10

That's the film! Jeff Bridges might make it worth the watch because of his acting skills. The guns, oh, the guns. With noise enhancement and added Hollywood flames they might be a hoot to watch explode.

16/04/15(Thu)21:21

something..something with the afterlife..I have seen it, but it was/is indeed rubbish.
