>>25069 Nope, they be butterfly's. Sure as eggs are little round things!
The ones with 'eyes' on their wings are called Peacocks, and the white ones are called Large/Cabbage Whites.
>>25057 It's not a macro lens as standard but using it with extension tubes allows it to get much closer than usual.
My standard zoom, Sigma 17-70, is a close up lens, but not strictly true macro without the extension tubes. I can recomend a set of these to adapt your existing lenses to macro

A true macro lens is the way to go if you have the money. The Tamron 90mm Macro is very popular.
Very nice work, JesusChrist! I'm happy to see the camera in action. Bugs in my garden will almost always get me to go outdoors!! I have a shot of a dragonfly eating a hornet!
It's not a macro lens, is it? That's what I want, but I don't need another lens covering the same focal range that I currently have.
>>25041 Yeah, I'm pretty pleased with them. Used my D7000 with 70-300mm lens and 20mm extension tube. Most of these shots are taken from about a metre and a half away!?!
