Monitor from a broken laptop :D

I received an old laptop recently that had a dead motherboard. It was worth repairing so I stripped it for parts. I bought an LCD control module from China for £18 and made a stand to create this minimalist monitor :D

I also saved the DVD-RW drive and bought a usb cable so I can use that, the hdd which is only 320Gb but will be a useful spare, the keyboard, although it's not much use really, the touch pad which can pretty easily be used as a usb/ps2 mouse device and the battery which I plan to use to make a little UPS with for the raspi server.

The LCD control module has plenty of inputs and it's own menu system to control all the usual things.
