>>32635 Not a dang thing wrong with a hobby; some of the best therapy can come from one. However, if the hobby becomes a drudgery or obsession, maybe a second look at the intent of the project should be considered once again.

Hobbies MUST give a satisfaction to the person investing the time and money. That's the main point of a hobby. Hobbies also take your mind off other on-going troubles; a diversion.

It takes me all of 2 seconds to reason whether I want to do something or not.

took someone 3 years to make, his wife isn't pleased

>>32630 I always get that feeling when I look at the massive domino toppling events, all that pain and anguish making it for a few seconds of fun... ...Fuck that! XD

>>32628 Thanks for the confidence, anyway, Grim.

26/06/16(Sun)12:09

>>32628 Just don't want to invest the time in a project like this, Grim. The reward isn't large enough for the time invested. Not saying I couldn't do it...but the new machinery, set-up, cost, time and a place to watch little marbles run around into holes isn't worth the effort.

Notice this youtube set-up is in the man's bedroom and it takes up a lot of space and it cost a fortune to construct? How long before the 'newness' wears off and it'll go into a box and never come out again?

It's not a good investment.

but but aren't you handy with wood, goodgrief? And you still have the rest of your life to work on it!

>>32620 Man, Grim, You don't realize how difficult it would be. I could make J.C.'s contraption easier.
Besides, I'm a little worn out.

I want to make this :D

>>32613 MAKE IT YOURSELF

just make sure you have plenty o' wood

24/06/16(Fri)21:29

>>32608 Interesting and yet very expensive. A small set (15-20 blocks) over 300 dollars. Ten marbles 9 bucks.
There must be 3000 dollars worth of blocks in this video and that doesn't count the electric wheel and color thing-a-ma-bobs.

It's some true precise engineering here and would take me forever to make some.

Cuboro want's to have young inventive minds setting up little 'villages' of grooved marble trays but can dad afford it?
I really like the idea though.

The ball handler >>0 shows individual talent though. Notice how the inventor is shown for each contribution?

one should make a large scale version. You're both good with wood, I'd say you make a contraption, goodgrief, JesusChrist will provide his balls ;)

I really get in to stuff like this.

I don't have enough balls to play the game but J.C. does. He must make a terrible racket just climbing out of bed.

My balls would totally appreciate that :)
