>>31998 86 would be a decent summer day for us.

>>31988 Unusually warm here at this time of the year. New York had 86 degrees on Christmas day and here in Houston it was 78. I think Florida got to 92 degrees. Yes, the hot weather brings rain and lots of Tornadoes.

>>31988 no, they were ordered later next year.

Is it usual to get tornadoes at this time of year?

If everyone's been watching the news lately, you'll see the mid-U.S. flooding. Nothing stops excessive rain.

Lots of high wind 200 miles north of me. We had some high gusts but they had tornadoes and lots of snow. Glad you didn't have to buy a boat.

Very windy across the UK today. Recorded a new record high, since 2007, on my personal weather station of 42.6mph this morning, and my house is fairly sheltered from the wind!

We'll get monster rains here in Houston and even though the city spends billions on new flood systems we are still at the mercy of rains that are so overpowering, nothing works. I don't care how much is spent, there is no system that can handle trillions of gallons of water that falls in a short time. You live with it.

>>31977 Every year somewhere in the UK suffers from bad flooding these days and our useless government does nothing.
It's obvious to anyone that with changing weather patterns we need to find a better approach but the uk government only like to spend money of war and banks. So much for democracy >:(

all's well, dear

Didn't you guys (UK) had this issue last year or a few years ago? What did your government do to prevent this from happening again..except talk?

I've been watching some of this on the news and am glad to hear none of you have been swept away in this. Hard to imagine the power of rising water until you're caught up in it.

why can't they let it rain alcohol?

>>31969 wow, 240p in 2015. :O

Not had that much rain here in Herefordshire, but it's been very windy and the risk of flooding on the main rivers will depend on the amount of rain in Wales.
The big river near me, the Arrow, has already flooded on to some fields but that's pretty normal in the winter. Thankfully the little stream near my house is only really affected by local rain so it's not a problem currently.
