Invest in a ssd, and your computer will love you. Of course this means you won't be able to make a sandwich anymore when you flick the thing on. Choices...

You are very fortunate, Grim. Mine takes a good 3 minutes.

Run msconfig and on the boot tab enabled 'Boot log'. Then after rebooting you can find the log called ntbtlog.txt in the windows folder.

I bought a new SSD just to see if it was down to that, had the same long boot issue. I thought it might be the dual video cards but my dad's work pc has got it too, and he's only got 1 video card.

Idk, hopefully it will be resolved soon. Although I'm back at W8.1 with classic shell so I'm not in a hurry.

>>31179 That quick time will be down to your SSD. I don't have one in my laptop so it takes a while, but as I boot from hibernate or sleep most of the time it's a bit quicker.

hey, how is your boot time,I mean from the windows logo to the login screen?
On my work pc it's just 5.8 sec but on my personal rig it was a whoppin' 42 seconds.

>>31168 My Nikon SLR has two SD drives but windows 10 shows them both empty :/ Same shit for thousands of other people.

13/08/15(Thu)20:37

pfff..you gotta pay them!

You mean that it shows 2 drives?

13/08/15(Thu)16:00

How much do I get for reporting that MS have screwed up the MTP drivers for digital cameras in windows 10?

12/08/15(Wed)22:01

Erm...if you hack like you shoot, Bobba, better stick to what you're doing.

I wish I knew how to 'professionally' hack a system. I could do with 1k. Of course I wouldn't call myself a hacker, I would be a bounty hunter!

"To harness the collective intelligence of security researchers". Oh, they mean 'hackers'. I wonder how long it took the advertising department to dream up that phrase. Don't want to offend the crooks. Great idea! Hire a crook so he'll show you how to 'crook. I think I remember our gov. hiring the kids that hacked NORAD. They still did a little jail time though. The FBI hired that crook that was writing bad checks drawn on Pan American ("Catch me if you can" movie).
Are you thinking about making a few extra bucks, Grim?
