Respect the people not the government

Personally, as you might tell, I have no respect whatsoever for the French. Their wars, including Viet Nam cost a lot of lives here and they can't stand us.

My mates grandfather was German, he fought under Rommel when they took France and was taken prisoner in North Africa. Any time France was mentioned on the TV he just used to hold up his hand and say"Funf wochen" (Five Weeks) cos's that's how long it took the Germans to takeover France.

>>30381 Ya got that right. The way China turned on them after WWII, had I been the S. Koreans, I would have called them on the phone, told them I had some of their buddies but had decided to pitch them in the garbage.

>>30376 I think a bin bag would have been sufficient ;D

ROK hands over remains of Korean War to China

that's a large coffin, it would have fitted just fine in a much smaller box.

I had never given much thought to his reign (house of York) then the War of the Roses which led to Wales having the King/Queen descendants. I had noticed Richard had the French lilies on his. Of course, because of your post and its information, I had to do a little English history. You guys went back and forth for quite a while and then did it all over again after the second world war by dividing up the country into individual states. (speaking of Ireland and Scotland). We had about a million deaths here about territory (1865-1867).
I might see the argument from those that didn't care one way or the other about his re-burial (maybe because of his French affiliation) but what I didn't see was the claim about him being a child killer.

He's going to be stuck back in the ground on Thursday, but he gets to go on a final walkabout today...

There seems to be a discussion on where the remains are to be relocated from the family descendants. Is there much, if any, talk down at the corner pub about this?
