Came home after a long day. Grabbed a bowl, cornflakes and milk, added some chocolate sprinkles for added deliciousness, and devoured it (not the bowl). Only later I saw the expiration date... I'm still alive!

Also when you freeze items you can preserve them long after the expiration date. I do that with meat and potatoes. And I'm still alive, well sort of :)

Most food poisoning happens when the food isn't properly cooled or handled (unsanitary),
fish (seafood) and chicken are number 1 suspects. My mum got it once from bad mussels (not properly cooled).

There's enough preservatives in foods to make it into the next century. Our digestive system will still be in one piece, in the coffin, when the rest of us is dust.

I don't eat anything past the date! I've had food poisoning too many times! I always reach in the back of the self to get the farthest date on food!
The last time I got food poisoning was when 9/11 happened! So I was home to see it all!
