I spend 18 hours trying to install Microsoft Office 365 (Business edition) for my dad.

It was the most annoying and longest install of any ms software I ever did. I even called MS tech support (another evil enterprise) And even the bloke from Bulgaria had to ask his supervisor for help, after 4 hours and through multiple command codes we finally have it running..for now.

OpenOffice IS great.. I uninstalled all microsoft programs years ago and have never regretted it..

The biggest problem facing the big software developers these days isn't piracy for the aim of saving money, but piracy because it won't have all the stupid security crap with it :/

The 'funny' thing was when I called Microsoft; first a local number (Netherlands) he then redirected me to some dude in India, he redirected me to a Bulgarian dude in Romania and with the help of a Dutch translator, an American woman in California who lived for 22 years in the Netherlands, we managed it get it installed. But WHY it didn't install/download in the first place? Nobody from Microsoft knows.. The mystery continues

I removed avg, deactivated the firewall: nothing. He then gave me some coding to run in the command which worked (it started a download from a different server) and another coding to run in command to start the program. So I started up Word 2013 (hey, didn't I install Office 365?) and it worked! ..until... I needed to activate it. And it didn't accept the key (MY DAD BOUGHT FROM THE MICROSOFT SITE!) He then used his own(?) email to activate Office 666..erm 365.

Nothing beats a disk if you ask me. Now I'm going to try the pirated version of 'The wolf among us'. Cheers :D

oh, I use a pirated version of Office 2007 along with my legit version of Windows 7 which I had to activate with a bogus key cause I reinstalled it too many times :D

But my dad is afraid of our government (who are targeting small business owners) who have pirated software. X(

Lesson of the day: DON'T BUY MS OFFICE 365! if you must go for the disk version: Office 2013.

my god, the phone bill must be sky high!

Another stupid thing is that you MUST make a hotmail/outlook account to use Windows 8, how fucking stupid is that?!
