people want to see others make fools out of themselves, make them feel smart. Similar to going to the zoo and looking at the monkeys

One thing I don't understand, is that why do people want to see the dumbest people on tv?! You don't learn anything from them, only to know that their stupidity is making them money! Why did I even go to school, if this is the way things are?!?

That 'Bachelorette' reality show has a larger veiwing audience than NCIS Los Angeles. Sensible people can't reason this and the producers will keep pumping out this crap as long as it keeps making money...sad.

01/09/12(Sat)13:55

yes, all of them! Cancelled and shot on sight, burned and lastly blasted into space!

01/09/12(Sat)12:43

There was a segment on the News this morning, on whether these type of shows need to be canceled!

01/09/12(Sat)00:29

did you know the 'Big Brother' show was a Dutch product? The guy who 'invented' it became even more richer while the audience and participants become more dumber.

"Dumbing Down" pretty much says it all. A few of those 'reality' shows have top numbers when it comes to what people watch. Then there's.."DNA says this is/is not your kid" on that Povich character show. Qualification to go on the air is weigh over 300 lbs and have the IQ of an ant. Audience has the same mentality. I'd sooner watch paint dry or how to make bricks in your garage but I'll leave that to the Brits...yuk, yuk.

31/08/12(Fri)19:31

>>19263 I think the audiences are different.

But it's all still part of the continued dumbing down of America. On "The Learning Channel" no less!

31/08/12(Fri)08:56

it maybe because they pulled the plug on Jersey Shore

31/08/12(Fri)03:40

That's just about the total population of all the trailer parks in the U.S.

"The fourth episode of Honey Boo Boo pulled in just shy of 3 million viewers at 10 p.m., according to Nielsen overnight ratings, growing 30 percent from last week's 2.3 million haul.

In the demo, Honey Boo Boo did even better. The half-hour series' showing among adults 18-49 bested all other cable outings for the night -- coverage of the Republican National Convention, included -- to pull a 1.3 rating."

Southpark episode?

oh and TLC, send them to SeaFox too!

10/08/12(Fri)09:06

This is why Chick-Fill-A & Wallmart should be forbidden, also inbred.
A new sport should be made, send the inbred yokel to SeaFox!

10/08/12(Fri)04:44

I can see a whole family of mud -wrestlers in the near future. That's about the limit of thier talents besides collecting coupons.

10/08/12(Fri)01:43

Keep them away from me, or I'll shoot them in the head!
