Big ones are nice to play with, but I've seen where even a 9mm goes through them and they don't stop! The .45 rounds I have are designed to do internal damage, and stop the assailant! I'm not a gun nut, I just have guns! My new neighbor has a 50 muzzle loader, and the damn thing went off on him while taking it out of his truck! I ran over there to see what was going on! I told him "This is where you learn to NOT leave it loaded!" He agreed!
I've had close calls with people getting crappy with me too! I'm glad I have it, hope I never have to use it!

I go to the outdoor pistol range often as the need rises to get it out of my system and those with 50 cal hand guns drive me to the benches behind the firing line. The concussion is over any shock-wave you might have encountered and the best ear covers money can buy doesn't stop the noise. Yes, they're big and have an ungodly punch. Owning one...nah. You can stop an intruder with a .22. It's just another penis issue like a red convertible. Who knows how accurate they are because the shooter is to preoccupied with holding on to it.
