>>25305 Sweet! I've had similar problems with Asus motherboards, and my current Asus laptop, when their software takes over! :D

07/09/13(Sat)04:59

>>25303 yes, software: Asus AISuite 3 which overruled all settings. It's working fine now :)

06/09/13(Fri)22:03

>>25301 Weird! Is the registry being replaced by a backup each time you restart?
Do you have any other software running that can change the power options, lots of motherboards manufactures include advance power option programs. It could be this software is screwing things up.
Beyond that this is a new one on me and I really don't know :/

06/09/13(Fri)22:01

Nevermind, I found the 'issue'. Turns out Asus AI Suite cock blocked the power saving function. It works good now. Thx JC ;)

JC HELP ME!

I have a strange issue with Windows 7. I can't seem to change the Power options, well I can but when I restart it goes back to default settings (turn screen off after 30min, sleep after 1 hour).

I've made a new power plan, changed the power plan in the registry, through the bios, even reset the cmos battery..but nothing worked.

JC HELP ME!

>>13167 >>13171 An outdoor wood burning furnace beats them all! For the last two weeks, the fan (in the house) has not kicked on, but the convection has kept the house at 73 degrees! ;)
It has come on since yesterday though! It was 31 here last night!

11/11/11(Fri)20:30

>>13171 Yeah, I've found every other issue - and only half of them resolved - anyone has had with this thing. I'm trying to save a few bucks by going that route but it looks like I'll have to either try Oldballs method of making sure the vent is clear or calling our home warranty people and dish out another $55. The techs normally don't mind if I gawk over their shoulders, makes them feel interesting.

>>13164 I have a friend who's computer was hit by malware this week. She knows nothing about this sort of thing and took her computer to the police station to have sort it out!?! They managed not to laugh and suggested she go to a computer shop XD
>>13167 I had a heater that the fan wouldn't run on, turned out to be a electromagnetic coil that had failed that was used to switch the fan on. Try searching on the net for you particular model and you might get some pointer for what to check.

Had this problem before. Mine would fire up, the fan would fail to kick on then the flame would go out. Turned out to be a venting issue. I had snow blocking the vent outside of my house. I detached the pipe from the furnace, allowing the vent to pull exchange the air in the basement, until I could manage to get out and clear the 6 foot drift covering the outside vent.
Above all, remember A Christmas Story, and act like the old man, Mr.Parker "It'sss a clinkerrr! That blasted stupid furnace, dadgummit! Oh for cripes sake open up the damper will ya? Who the hell turned it all the way down? AGAIN! Oh blasted!"

Carrier Weathermaker 8000...

Does anyone have knowledge on how to check/fix an issue with a Heater?

The thermostat works, it heats from time to time but the fan never blows unless it's on "Run" and never when set on "Auto". Air conditioner worked fine just can't get this to run.
It heats up - gas heater - but never engages the fan to spread that warmth.

Malware issue - Fixed

I was hit with a malware issue the other day. It kept blocking programs to clean out malware and wasn't spotted by my virus protection.
Keep an eye out for "2012v121.exe" also known as "AV Security 2012". Was a bitch to nullify.

Hello AMD/ATI

>>13154 mmmaybe but he was drinking like a Irishman ;p

I have a similar with Nvidia. I have no problem with gaming but when I just browse the internet the screens goes black for 10 to 15 seconds. It pops back and displays 'graphics driver crashed'. However no solution from Nvidia! Bastards in their ivory tower. Making money but tech support..fuck that

>>13149 Sounds like your buggered then :/

Try re-installing IE.

Help! For some reason, when I download a pic from anywhere, it comes in only as a bmp! What do I need to reset to get it back to jpg?! It's annoying to have to change them after I get them!

my OS disk..missing a thingy

And here's my question: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!?
I superglued the broken piece on..hope that will work.

11/10/11(Tue)18:45

hahha. did you store the images on your ps3 harddrive, then they might look at them.
If you didn't save them, they can't see them.

Just to sure post the pix here and we'll judge them, after that it doesn't matter what they'll say ;)

11/10/11(Tue)17:50

i would think the mental images would really be enough and you wouldn't need to ever view the originals again.. ;)

11/10/11(Tue)15:11

I have a memory stick with holiday pics and vids on it. I have viewed them on my Playstaion 3 via usb port. My ps3 keeps crashing all the time and i need to have it repaired. Will the repairers be able to view the pics/vids of me in my speedos or does none of the info stay on the ps3 hard drive?
thank you for reading this boring Q ;-)
