>>8695 The standard front springs was the downfall of all those early tamiyas. my Grasshopper and Hornet both suffer from really bad front end bounce when off road. Still great fun though, in fact it makes for some crazy stunts/crashes :D

Please, SeaFox, choose only one!

btw, where's your pic of that plane you keep talkin' about?

09/03/11(Wed)19:54

Actually, I like them all! ;D
I had a Frog, that I converted to a Subaru Brat with a spectacular sapphire blue paint job! Untill I rolled it! I also upgraded the front end with oil shocks, and was told by others that it was the smoothest riding front end anyone had seen on a Frog/Brat! :)

#2 will be a tad lighter, it mostly depends on the electric motor..

#1 has the looks, my opinion, but the pick between it and #2 would be the performance. If they're the same, then #1.

>>8684 Monster trucks I like, just not truggys. You can still buy the Clod Buster, but the CR-01 chassis Grim has on his Toyota rock crawler is a more modern advanced system.

My Toyota can be all wheel steer too but (it's cheating!)
>>8683 The bottom 2 look good and cool, however the monstertrucks are not my fav.

Clod Buster

King of them all. 4wd + 4 wheel steer on 6" tires

RC Trucks

These are from my past

#1 - Contrary to JC's views, stadium trucks are just plain badass. Add in the fact that it is 4wd and you have a sure fired chicken dinner!

>>8679 But the Schumacher Cat is the dogs bollocks of RC buggys. The Tamiya can't compare for quality, but that's why the Cat is so much more expensive :D
Belt or shaft drive is good, but the belt system in the Cat allows for gear changes from front to back, very useful in a 4WD vehicle where you may need to add power to the front to reduce under steer on loose surfaces. The Shaft system in the Tamiya is fixed.
My turbo optima uses a chain drive, which can be a bitch to get running properly but has all the advantages of belt in that it can allow for different gearing in the front and rear differentials.
Simply put if you can afford the Cat get it, otherwise the Tamiya Dark Impact will be lots of fun too :)
Never been a fan of Truggy's so 1 is a no go for me and While I love the Unimog you would be better to get the Unimog body and fit it to the Rock Crawler chassis instead (much cheaper too :D)

JC, please stick to the poll pic. Number 2 then?

Belt driven? I've seen a couple. How are your buggies driven? And what's the advantage over shaft driven cars?
