My brother was there 3 days earlier. Incredible stroke of luck to not be there when the earthquake hit the city.

Went to Christchurch in 2005 and stood in Cathederal square, beautiful place

a shame..

isn't there video of this collapse (there may be but i haven't done a search). i think of 9/11 and the planes hitting the towers and both caught on video..

anyway, always sad to see beautiful architecture come crumbling down
