>>7672 Yes my fish can tell the time, it's always swimming and food time :D
The controller has a clock because that controls the times the standard lighting options go on and off. Primarily the display will have temperature details and display the menu system for changing lighting options :)
Lighting options will be controllable through my computer too :D

fish like to watch too

>>7634 can your fish tell time??? the clock will be in the tank?

>>7656 I had a booboo with it last night. Got a short circuit from a dodgy connector and damaged a few of the outputs from the microprocessor :(
Thankfully there are enough outputs left working on this one to complete this project.
It's not much to look at but I'll try to upload a pic soon :D

>>7634 I plugged the wires in the receiver (thingy with the antenna) wrong.
I'm using 40Mhz..Nothing bad has happened yet, so it must be good ;)

Sweeeet project, do post pictures of it!

>>7542 Just a thought from my old RC car days, I recall that the receiver and transmitter crystals have to be used the right way round even though they are for the same wavelength. Which frequency band are you using? 27Mhz, 40Mhz or 2.4Ghz ?

My current project is making a LED Lighting system and fish tank monitor using a micro controller. It'll have 7 channels of lights, temp sensor, voltage sensor (to see when the heater is on) and an LCD screen to display information from the sensors and built in clock :D

>>7610 You could hack your PS3

05/01/11(Wed)04:20

>>7547 i will just have to work extra hard this year and earn enough to buy a nice one :)

>>7546 A friend uses the computers from his work for animation, he got permission (boring). It requires additional software on the network. Also handy to download movies and other spicy stuff ;)

02/01/11(Sun)00:43

i'm dreaming of a new computer too.. one that can process animation much faster and smoother. time will tell...

01/01/11(Sat)20:06

>>7540 not yet..don't know why the damn thing won't respond to the transmitter, maybe the crystal is damaged or I did something wrong. Anyway, I moved it to the shelf (for now).

My new project, one I wanted for a much much longer time, is a new computer. Nothing too expensive, just a sweet rig ;)

Thanks. We can all use one. You ever get that tank rolling?

The time machine is working again!
Happy New year!! :D
