I've never been to a beach that has been oiled! Next time I go to Panama City though, I may be seeing it!

This is sick.

I remember growing up, we used to have a big problem with oil residue and tar on our beach. Every time we came back from the beach our feet were black from tar residues.

It was never this bad though... BP really messed up on this one.

16/06/10(Wed)19:53

>>4977 Yes, too bad! Just think! We could be burning up that 60,000 barrels in our cars polluting the air instead of the water! ;p

16/06/10(Wed)19:31

and this thing is going to round the corner and head up the east coast in no time! a pity! 60,000 barrels a day?? wowzers..

16/06/10(Wed)18:55

I would like to dive around it, not actually IN it! I would like to get video of what's going on under the surface! And try to avoid getting any on my scuba gear!
And the beach that I dive from all the time, in Panama City, is covered! :(

16/06/10(Wed)17:58

looks like salad dressing! would you swim in salad dressing? the reporter should try eating it next time! :)

these are the types of images bp and the government do not want released to the public??

16/06/10(Wed)12:26

>>4962 I don't recall if he had scuba gear on, but all the same what a dumb idea :D

16/06/10(Wed)12:00

Do you mean the reporter that put on scuba gear and went in?! He said he ruined his gear doing that!

16/06/10(Wed)11:26

Did you see a news article about a reporter who decided to go swimming in the oil to see what it was like? Turns out it wasn't very nice. Who would've known! Thank god for journalists!
