You system is better as with lots of small parties it forces politicians to work together to some extent to get things done. voters will have very little loyalty to a specific party and will happily switch to another similar party if they aren't happy. In the UK we only have 2 major parties, although the right wing conservative vote is fracturing now with Reform. Our system means we get a single government with absolute power to do what they want, yours has a chance to represent more people with a broader political view. At least in theory, the reality is always less than you'd hope for!

I thought the UK system was somewhat the same. So what gives?

I'd prefer your system over the one we have in the UK.

Around 20 parties, which is way too many as the system was designed a long time ago, as now it's too easy to start a party.
D66 won the most votes but I won't call them left, more like middle of the road.

The previous administration consisted of:
the PVV (right wing), and the BBB (farmers united, also right wing) they have lost most of the votes.
The NSC (middle) which is no more.
And the VVD (liberals but now right wingers) which remained mostly the same.

The parties need at least 76 zetels (seats) to form a majority block, if they want to implement laws and stuff. Oh, and normally an administration rules every 4 years.

WTF!?! How many people do you have to vote for?

I was pleased to see you told the ring wing cunts to go fuck themselves. I just hope the left wing & centrists you have prove to be useful, unlike the current UK 'left wing' government :/
