Photo viewer shows pics too dark

Windows Photo Viewer on the left, ACDSee Pro 7 on the right. Every picture is too dark with WPV. I haven't touched any color calibration setting. Anybody know how this can be resolved?

  • Supported file types are: GIF, JPG, PNG
  • Maximum file size allowed is 8000 KB.
  • Images greater than 200x200 pixels will be thumbnailed.

Check in Colour Management in Control Panel.
Be sure it is using default values for everything. You can google to see what is the default for each option.
Some software uses windows colour profiles and others use their own.

Don't wear sun glasses while viewing monitor.

And the preview of File Explorer shows the correct colors. So photo viewer is crap.
