>>18974 Didn't go anywhere! My PC went under again! I lost a hard drive, and did not have them replace it, so it will push me to get a new one! :p
>>18977 If someone is trying to talk to me while I'm eating, then they're bothering me! ;)

14/08/12(Tue)03:35

>>18962 I don't think they were trying to bother you while you were eating, Foxman.

13/08/12(Mon)22:19

>>18931 My feeling is that for one to run for the office of POTUS, one has to have an extremely large ego. I have many large things, and ego is not one of them. ;) So I will be precluded from running and therefore, my answer to your questions would be meaningless. :)

>>18962 where did you go??

13/08/12(Mon)19:03

What the hell happened here!?
I'm gone all weekend, and now Chick-fil-A is now a political hub! XD

11/08/12(Sat)13:20

What will you change? What will your priorities be?

11/08/12(Sat)00:33

I think USA is already too far gone.. too polarized. Our priorities are misplaced. We try to do too many things, or not enough things. If one side wins, the other trashes it. We Americans are our own worst enemies..

While I do believe Obama will win this November, and it could very well be a landslide in electoral votes, Republicans in office are only going to work with a Republican president, which means we're all screwed..

>>18916 That is a challenge. I'm certain that once you are deep in the quagmire of politics and perks it would take a well steeled will not to be influenced. That's why I propose a shared position with Vis leaning one way and me leaning the other. Vote us in...it's not like we can do any more damage.

"We need to be the ones running the country!"
haha, good luck trying to stay true to yourself

10/08/12(Fri)19:01

>>18912 " but they are hypocrites any way you slice it, in terms of defending freedom of speech" - Agreed.

"For the record, I fully support the CEO of a company, as well as a radio personality, voicing their opinions and offering either nasty food or nasty words to the general public. I agree with you that if you don't like it, don't enter the store/turn the channel." - We need to be the ones running the country!

"Those same people only support freedom of speech when it benefits their agenda" - This can be said for most protests and argumentative groups. Tell them all to STFU and live your own.

10/08/12(Fri)18:31

>>18911 The "family values" groups wormed Stern into this when they tried to impose their hypocritical values on me by indirectly having Stern removed from public airwaves, and by also trying to remove him as a judge on AGT (which I choose not to watch). If those same folk support Dan Cathy, that's fine for them, but they are hypocrites any way you slice it, in terms of defending freedom of speech.

For the record, I fully support the CEO of a company, as well as a radio personality, voicing their opinions and offering either nasty food or nasty words to the general public. I agree with you that if you don't like it, don't enter the store/turn the channel.

I just wonder why the family values groups could not just shut their fucking mouths and let me enjoy a radio program. Those same people only support freedom of speech when it benefits their agenda?

>>18893 How did Stern worm his way into this thread? Free speech is free speech whether you or I agree with the message. One still has an obligation to maintain a level of respectability and decency, but aside from that, you are free to have you views and express them if you like.
Yes, if you don't like it, turn the station. If you don't like items on the menu or the ideals of the owner, feel free to not enter their doors.
The terrible thing that has been happening here as it has with others (Fox news, Rush Limbaugh, Stern, Johnsonville Brats, Tyson Chicken, Kwik Trip gas stations) is that a portion of the passionate public feels that it is their duty to exaggerate the negatives and excite the sheeple to protest or boycott because something that was said, done, not done, not said has offended them or their personal beliefs.

I hate this polarizing crap of "if you don't agree with me then you are wrong". What happened to the understanding of people being different and we all need to appreciate the differences and celebrate our own.

Side note: Some of the biggest violators of the "celebrate differences" movement are those around my area with the damn Coexist stickers. Hypocrites that put on a bumper sticker purporting their beliefs in equality and understanding all the while shaking their fists, yelling in my face and protesting someone's differing opinion!

09/08/12(Thu)23:39

christian groups and other "family values" organizations have long tried to ban howard stern and other "shock jocks" from public radio and television because the words of these figures stray too far from the beloved values of christians.

yes, where is the tolerance? why couldn't they just turn off their radios? I choose to avoid chick-fil-a because the food is a disgusting mess and not because it's a christian run fast food chain (yes, they are closed on sundays). that cheap chicken sandwich is doing more harm to americans than howard stern could ever do.

>>18794 I would be surprised if they have beef dishes ;)

07/08/12(Tue)20:42

>>18775 Thanks OldBean! ;)
I had tried one when I was leaving Atlanta last year! I bought chicken nuggets to go! (don't remember the actual name of them)
They were pretty good! Better than KFC, I thought! I tried it because my Sister always is going on about how good they are! They have many types of chicken dishes!

07/08/12(Tue)20:33

>>18775 No, as I mentioned, I like the video but the food sucks (Grim asked). I hope the Foxman enjoys it there but here it should be banned for nasty stuff.

>>18758 Ford didn't had a choice (gov)..and he saw a potential market in Europe (and he was right)

07/08/12(Tue)18:34

Happy for you Seafox. I would like one around here.

Goodgrief, banned for what reason? For practicing freedom of speech? For having a set of beliefs that don't agree with many? Where is the tolerance?

07/08/12(Tue)17:48

Back ON topic! :p
Local area planning has approved the zoning for the new Chick-fil-A! :D
Soon, we iz eatin' chikin'!

07/08/12(Tue)01:23

>>18756 on your off topic...and yet the Ford plant turned out a B-25 every 90 seconds during the war just to bomb Hitler.
A chickfillet should be banned from the fast food industry and you don't want to know, Grim.

On-Topic: What the hell is Chick Fill A? I would be more worried about (see pic)

06/08/12(Mon)23:35

no one, for any reason, should ever have this song, nor the original, stuck in their head.. :(

my friend went to the chic-fil-a appreciation day. he came back with a dry piece of chicken between two buns and a slice of pickle. The menu is more offensive than anything the owner has to say..

I got a kick out of this video; fairly well put together, it is. Maybe this 'vestite trio will show up at your grand opening. You might drive across town for that, huh?

04/08/12(Sat)14:57

>>18688 Good one, GoodGrief! :D
I just found out my town is now getting a "Chick-fil-A"! Of course they'll put all the way South of town, just like everything else tastey!

04/08/12(Sat)03:12

Maybe that ad is where the term 'trans fat' came from.
