my grandma (left) died this past sunday. she was admitted to a hospital about a week prior and the doc said she had internal bleeding. i hear she died in her sleep.

my auntie bernice (right) also died this year.

they were both incredible, strong and beautiful women and i have great memories of my time with them.

rip, ladies

I have never met you Mr Visitor but I'm happy to have met you in our virtual world.
Would be great for us all to meet sometime but i think it will never happen.
I am sad also for your loss but as you well know, it's better to celebrate the life than mourn the loss.

We have an interest in you mate, as just because we've never met, I think many of us formed friendships through snapsoid etc. If we met up in a pub, we'd get plastered as mates, not as strangers. As for the others you've mentioned, I find that too. I have lots of 'friends' that I never talk to or interact with. Another strange social experiment that is facebook. Maybe one day, finances allowing, we'll all meet up for a piss up!!

i am amused by what has resulted on facebook since posting this picture, and a few words, there. one can quickly discover who his friends are.

6 of the 9 comments, thus far, are from snappers - people i have never met, who mostly live in foreign lands and who should have no greater vested interest in me and my grandma than anyone else, i suppose.

i have 94 total "friends" on facebook.

it is an interesting barometer and maybe time to whittle down the friend list?? hard to know on these things..

thanks guys. i wasn't in close contact with either of them for the past several years so this moment is sad, but it's life. grandma was 93. i only hope to live that long, in mostly good health!
