It's really too bad that that the power of the people ends right after the elections! Another idea I have, (that most likely wouldn't work) as President, I would allow the voters to help make major decisions that would directly affect their lives! A sample question would be- "Should we go to war with nation "X" based on (insert reason) that we're having with them, or not?" Let the people voted on something like that! Yes, there would be ramifications because of such a vote, but if something would go horribly wrong, then they couldn't blame anyone but themselves! ;D
And with the help of some (competent) advisors, I could make it work! Just throwing an idea out there! ;)

2. The U.S. Congress rushes to confirm a black Attorney General, Eric Holder, whose law firm we later find out represents seventeen Gitmo Terrorists. (An honest mistake?)

3. The CIA Boss appointee, Leon Panetta, has absolutely no experience.

4. We got the second most corrupt American woman (Pelosi is #1) as Secretary of State; bought and paid for. (You can put lipstick on a pig, but it still stinks!)

5. We got a Tax Cheat for Treasury Secretary who did not properly file his own taxes for 12 years. (He misspoke!)

6. A Commerce Secretary nominee who withdrew due to corruption charges. (Another honest mistake???)

7. A Tax cheat nominee for Chief Performance Officer who withdrew under charges. (Hmmm... Another screw-up?)

8. A Labor Secretary nominee who withdrew under charges of unethical conduct. (Ok, maybe this person was just plain stupid.)

9. A Secretary HHS nominee (Daschle) who withdrew under charges of cheating on his taxes. (I'm running out of excuses for these idiots!!)

10. Multiple appointments of former lobbyists after an absolute campaign statement that no lobbyists would be appointed.
(Dear God, I am getting a headache!)

All this occurred just during the first three weeks. . . But who's counting?

America is being run by the modern-day Three Stooges; Barry, Nancy and Harry and they are still trying to define stimulus..."it's spending!!!"

The congress passes the $800,000,000,000 (that's $800 billion) pork-loaded spending bill where the government gives you a smidgen of your tax dollars ($13 per week), making you feel so good about yourself [stimulated], that you want to run out to Wal-Mart and buy a new Chinese-made HDTV!

Here's the good news though - Obama took Air Force One to Denver to sign the stimulus package, wasting as much as 10,000 gallons of fuel OR 24 JOBS FOR ONE YEAR.

One good thing about the AZ law is that illegals are leaving the state left and right! Too bad they're probably just going to other states! So lets get that law going for all the border states! ;D

what i find more strange is why the tea party waited so long to chime in - if they were legit at all, they would have been working overtime during the bush years. so the collective anger is real, but being funneled in the wrong direction, quite obviously.

the AZ law puts the ball back in the feds court in terms of enforcing federal laws, which is good. but the AZ law itself creates a police state - and everyone knows if obama was that governor, the backlash against him by conservatives would be astronomical!! how dare obama create a police state! he is a nazi!!!! that hypocrisy is unbelievably consistent within the conservative party now..

See why I hate politics!? I think BP Should be charged to the fullest, and take care of all damage down with no cost to us! I know the mosque isn't his decision, but he should at least say something about it to ease the emotions of victims families! I mean, that's just a slap in the face of all who were killed, and all who tried to save those victims, and all of use who had to watch us being attacked!

Also, don't you find it strange that there has been more protests under this administration than any since I began to vote at age 18?! The people aren't being un-patriotic, they're unhappy! And yes, he couldn't stop the law in Arizona, but he wouldn't talk to the Governor about it until he realized it was going to hurt his popularity! I would love to hear that discussion! It was also bad policy to voice his opinion against it, and now it's turning Americans against Americans! And they developed that law because obama won't do anything to protect the border down there! More of my ideas for the Presidency would include getting rid off all political parties, so that this county can be united in the way the forefathers intended it to be! So we will stop fighting each other over small problems, and prevent them from becoming larger problems! And no more month long vacations for the house, and senate and the rest of cogress untill the dockets are empty! Drastic times are causing drastic measures!

obama has not prevented any state from making its own laws. the arizona law passed, yes? as first written, was it unconstitutional and did it create an environment for racial profiling, i think so, even though i like the idea of the law. did they rewrite the law? yes. will it be overturned by the president, probably not.
