Thanks, twas a wee bit high in cost but it does work out of the box. Just attach to the wheelbase [the most difficult part], insert the usb [do this before attaching to the wheelbase] and start up simhub. Use Simhub to start a game.

Bought the Sim-Lab Grid DDU5 cause I couldn't see all the necessary gauges in some cars. It has loads of different dash layouts..now I just need to find a good one.

Thank you, kind sir. It was a bit more work to set it all up, with loads of screws & T-nuts. But I'm already very happy with the whole rig even though it's not yet done.

I've looked at making my own button box but that seems a bridge too far for now. I'll first need to practise with soldering. Then I'll need to figure out the basics layout, sort the components, solder the wiring, oh and probably do some scripting etc etc. It looks daunting now but I'll mos def try it in the future.

Damn! That is a very sweet setup. Using a base frame of stock alu profiles is perfect for customisation.

Pretty sure there are arduino, or similar, projects for rev counters etc. I've seen people use mobile phones for that too and mounting the phone on the centre of the wheel or behind it.

I currently have a stream deck for standard stuff like time, cpu & gpu temp.

Also to note driving and using a mobile is not handy.

The only thing I modified to make it comfortable for me was the pedal base. It was attached to the near vertical beams (the wheel base, monitor, and PC shelf are attached to those). So now when I slide those towards me the pedals stay put.

Because the swivel mount was out of stock I bought the hardware from a local supplier and build it myself.

The Valve Index base station (VR) will be attached on a 40x40 profile..and I'll probably attach it to the horizontal monitor beam.

Things I might buy/build: a digital display for rev counter and gear selector and other useful info, separate LEDs to function as collision/radar/ detectors. As I also plan to use the rig for flight sims it needs to be multipurpose.
