Bought a new combination BBQ and washing machine. Should be pretty useful.

The ground is solid down at least 3 feet (914.4mm)! I'm using a narrow post-hole spade when I can, but have been having to use my SDS drill on chisel only mode to carve my way through the ground quite a lot! There is also quite a lot of stone to deal with so again the SDS drill makes that much easier to deal with.

Expecting low 30's over the next couple of days so might not get much done. We'll see.

Okay, that is mighty impressive!
And yes, I did wonder where you went, and know we know.

The ground must be almost rock solid. Tell me you have a digger? Or a R/C excavator?

Side note:
My parents recently moved to a new place too and guess who they appointed to landscaper? :|

Anyway, I hope the weather is kind to you.

Ugh! I have been so busy digging holes in the garden I was too tired to do anything else :(

I might need to rest more this week and build up my strength again.

I'm having to redo the retaining wall along the this side of my house, as you can see the old block wall is cracking and leaning over. I'm installing 30 steel posts in a stepped style so I can have a strong retaining wall and a series of flower beds. The posts are made from steel H and U beams so I can slot in wooden sleepers, like a railway sleeper but actually just treated wood without all that tar and shit on them!

It's a very slow and long process for me to get it done, but it's an important first step to being able to build my workshop. The flower beds here will need a lot more soil and that will partially come from levelling out another part of the garden where the workshop will eventually go.

So I need to make a tight fitting lid. I'm sure the neighbours are going to love this XD
