Windows 7 also has a good form of solitare. Low times are important and one can win about 10% of the game (not bad). My highest score is 2567 out of a possible 25,000+. My best time is 357seconds (most games that are completed take 450 to 550 seconds). You can get addicted on this.

Know the game well. Score card isn't confusing but the card layout in your first post doesn't have any cards except hearts and that was confusing.

Hearts aka Black Lady, comes standard with windows xp/vista/7.
I learned the game from my grandpa (rip), dad and uncle. Although with fewer cards. But in essence the same.
All Hearts have to be avoided (it adds 1 point, 13 total), the Queen of Spades (adds 13 points).
The less points the better, the first who hits 100 points loses. In this case Worf. However if you take all hearts plus the Queen of Spades the other players get 26 points.
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,J,Q,K,A (from low to high)

Example:
I throw J♦
You must throw a same diamond card. Higher is a risk (if you don't have the Q♠), if someone doesn't have a ♦ but (s)he does have the Q♠, they must throw it (giving you 13 points).
Now if you don't have a diamond, you can throw the Q♠ first (if you do have it) or a ♥. But if you neither have the Q♠ or a ♥ you can just throw any card desired.
The thing to remember is you DON'T want the ♥ or the Q♠! 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,J,Q,K,A (from low to high)

I have noticed that my other grandpa, windows, friends and my dad play(ed) it all different from each other. So the rules of the game must be set b4 play :)
