Bugger, its going to miss by 18,600 miles but be visible. Would have destroyed an area the size of Texas!

>>781 Yes, some time ago, scientists say that one is coming close enough to worry about, somewhere around 2029, an asteroid may hit us!
But I say, even if it's not going to hit us, let's blow something up! :D

Has an asteroid been spotted heading towards us, or does he just want to blow something up in space?

Q branch! So it's up to the brits to save us

>>764 If I remember correctly, it took "Q" to stop that moon from crashing into the planet! Since we don't know any "Q", we're fucked! ;D

He'd better check the Star Trek series for a solution...

Why am I the only one that knows we have nothing that could alter the course of anything that's large, and moving very fast in space!
Besides, after we're all dead on Dec. 21, 2012, any asteroids that hit, will be striking an empty planet! ;D

"People's lives are at stake. We should pay several hundred million dollars and build a system that would allow us to prevent a collision, rather than sit and wait for it to happen and kill hundreds of thousands of people," says perminov.
