Israeli Summer
07/08/11(Sun)08:11

yesterday evening was the largest protest ever in Israel.
More than 300,000 protestors around the country joined together to protest against the rising life expenses and the diminishing middle class, but mainly for social justice in the face of Netanyahu's extreme capitalistic reformes.

I don't know if we'll have riots here as the ones in the Arab countries or even in the UK, since the police is on the side of the protestors.

In Israel, the police can not unionize and strike, so they have no way of protesting their low income. This protest is for their income as well, and some in the higher ranks of the police stated they fear that as the protests continues the policemen in the streets may join it.
