The government wants 85 planes but the military needs to lay-off at least 10.000 jobs and decommission several battalions (including tanks).

At least we don't have to worry about building new soccer stadiums ;)

Eisenhower warned of the military industrial complex when he left office. Lot of tycoons getting rich from governmental stupidity. 20 years from now, you can buy these planes for 2cents on the dollar and use it for your kids treehouse. Your tax dollars at work once again.

We've ordered F35s, but I reckon they could be cancelled. Or the order downsized anyway. 100 leopards for 50 Euro? Wow, you could make a fortune just scrapping them!

Germany wanted to give us about 100 Leopard 2A4 tanks back in 2001 for 0,5 Euro each... Hungary didn't accept the offer. :D
After that we ordered Gripens from Sweden, then the next government modified the contract to modify the gripens to be able to refilled in the air... For duoble the price. We modernised our 230 T-72s in the early 2000s and a few years ago we decommisioned 215 of them.
Talking about bad decisions...
