Had a crazy power cut last night. The power kept quickly powering on and off. The main part of the server is fine, but the both raid arrays are not at all happy.

The raid software claims it's busy doing stuff to fix it, but honestly who knows! XD

I would love to build a new server, which would make some of this maintenance simpler, but I'm not sure the budget allows for it. All my computers need updating at this point!?! About £10K would sort it all I think! XD

As is tradition in the UK, every 1-2 years in order to get internet at a good price you have to switch to a different company!?! I will doing so on the 3rd of September so there may be a period when this site isn't accessible.

As an added bonus this time I will also be affected by the switching off of the traditional phone service and the need for a new IP phone service at extra cost. This is because of (checks notes) Progress! I have declined the extra cost because I find the idea of paying an extra £10-15 a month for scammers to call me several times a day to be a bad investment. It's not like I don't already have a mobile phone with free calls and wifi-calling at home already.

"Progress" is up there with "Brexit" for being some of the dumbest shit imaginable XD
