To close the image us the X button top right or left click on the image, double left click to close in zoom mode. To use the zoom feature us the zoom button top left. In zoom mode the bottom right of your screen will show an indicator of what part of the image you can see. You can use the scroll wheel of your mouse to zoom in and out. You can click and hold the left mouse button on the image and drag it to move the viewer around the zoomed image if it is larger than the screen size. I didn't flip the pic myself! I just tilted my head a little, because I made out the Dogs head on his leg, and it was upside-down! ;D

Hah I found it without turning it upside down but then i thought "Nah it can't be, it would be stupid upside down..." :D So I kept on lookin... :P
