Stella Lux Solar Car concept by TU Eindhoven

The pivo is indeed an experimental model, a permanent concept, just to let the world see what the company can do. Many (car)manufacturers do stuff like that. Some go through with it if they see potential (profit), and not to forget the laws of the country allows it.
The Netherlands has a law that forbids full and only electric steering; aka steer-by-wire. However mechanical steering with an electronic aid is allowed.

>>31589 Sometimes the Japs seem to go overboard on things, huh? It has a lot of things that do a lot of stuff and to me it just spells more things to crap out. This 'all electric' concept hasn't thoroughly convinced me when it comes to automobiles. A resistor fails and you have to call a wrecker. All the tiny little motors that drive things inside the car...pffft. Even the speedometer moves with a little motor or computer graphics. My brother's pickup truck wouldn't move because the speedometer's motor broke. It signaled the transmission to change gears and move forward. What kind of shit is that?
This Pivo has a lot of features, especially parking, but no price yet because they keep changing things and it's still in the 'concept' stage.

The cab of this electric car pivots 360 degrees and once it's locked in a forward or backward position, that's the way it travels. Poor picture but the site couldn't produce a better one.

>>31577 that one looks a bit easier, at least the cabin is one. This one >>0 has 2 separate cabins.

I remember the German Luchs reconnaissance vehicle having 2 drivers too. Was easier & quicker than driving in reverse, and looking over your shoulder ;)

I noticed quite a few of these two-way cars on the net; these guys had the idea quite a while ago. I wonder which way it really went.

This is not a photoshop. It's a freak of nature and really exists.
