Long time ago a guys carburetor caught fire just outside our shop. He had one of those hanging on the wall inside. He threw it at the engine. It bounced off the intake manifold and lay there unbroken. Hardest damn glass I'd ever seen. I threw a large towel from the restroom over the fire and slammed the hood. Fire went out.

Woops, wrong grenade

Did he ever used it and more importantly does it work?

Interesting! Apparently filled with a salt water brine solution, and from the 1930's.
