coming to the bar to hang out and have a few laughs with some friends is free and can be done in the privacy of ones home. It is important to have companionship in the form of "physical presence" on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, what-have-you), but why is he avoiding us?

I was way off doing my usual Holmes sleuthing but people laying in wait with guns sounds pretty damn bad. Even if the markers are replaced under police escort, who's to say the thugs won't come back at another time and shoot him off the tractor?

If there's one thing that gets farmers/land owners overexcited it's boundary issues! The farmer nearest me made life hell for years for some of my neighbours over a tiny piece of land he claimed to own but didn't. The legal case cost 10's of thousands of pounds and only the immediate threat of prison ultimately stopped him.
Hopefully these idiots SeaFox is dealing with will get over it soon enough.

News from the Fox!!

Why would a letter from the National Rifle Association be cause for alarm? If he's a member, they are probably just asking for a donation. Has he made this sound like more than it is? How would his father be in on a death threat if he'd messed around with his neighbor's daughter? None of the work he does would cause him to lock and load. He has my sympathies for his mother and dog passing away but these are things that happen in our lives day in and day out. We move on.
Teenagers bash mailboxes all the time and don't care which one they whack so I don't see this a personal thing or threat. Only things I know of that will get you a death threat are drugs and screwing someone's wife. I smell fish.

Well, as they say, when it rains, it pours, and he has been encompassed in a whirlwind of bad news for awhile with this, that and the other hitting him from all angles. I feel very bad about it all and wish him the best.

New news of SeaFox, not good though..read for yourself. I asked him why but haven't got any replies yet.

This is all such sad news. I do hope we will see SeaFox here again soon.

time does cure, goodgrief, you are right. I feel very sorry about his situation right now, based on what he's written to Grim. I hope he does know that friends are available at any given time and that he continues to reach out for support. It's very hard to be in his shoes and feel so alone or isolated..

Seafox has always talked about his Dad and shared stories of their adventures. I've never heard him say much about his Mother, but I'm sure they were close. I hope he will be able to share some memories of her with us.
