Early on, Kiel was a bouncer, cemetery plot salesman, and night time math instructor. His T-V and film career was enormous. He had a severe head injury in 1992 and had to walk with a cane until his death.

3 days short of becoming 75. he was in the hospital because of a broken leg. Cause of death unknown, atm.
