Even if you're a vampire. V Rising is similar to Valheim/No Man's Sky/Subnautica except you are a vampire (night good, daytime bad). You gotta build a castle first, then ...well I'm not that far yet.

It looks stable, I guess it has a small counterweight. Hopefully it doesn't drag too much.

It doesn't scale as good as Windows..or I haven't found the right setting yet.

..but it actually runs cool.

Ray Tracing looks cool, and turn on DLSS and you don't see a performance drop. With my 1080 Ti the game ran 40 fps with medium settings, no Ray Tracing or DLSS at 2560x1440p.
Now I get 60 fps with max settings + Ray Tracing and DLSS at 2560x1440p!
If I reduce a couple of the Ray Tracing settings and a few standard settings to medium, but still DLSS in Performance mode, I get a steady 80 fps. :D

Next up is Red Dead Redemption 2.

While the card was still a bit more than I hoped (€1000) I bit the bullet and bought it. In the process I got rid of the water cooling cause it's a pita for maintenance and hardware swapping.

Man, it took me way too late to play this but it's actually fun. It looks and feels dated at times but looking past it, it's a decent free-to-play online with single player experience.

I use it for both at work along with a laptop and at home when checking my various computers. It's the Asus ZenScreen MB16AH, which can use either usb type-c or mini-hdmi.

Also re-installed Linux on 2 pc's cause Windows 10/11 borked out.

Hello all, have any of you experienced higher than normal prices of <insert goods>?

Here in the Netherlands food (especially chicken), gas (petrol, gas, diesel) and therefor energy prices has gone up a lot. And now because of the Russian invasion of the Ukraine we will see even higher prices.

The Philips LatteGo 2231/40 mostly used for espresso.
This big boy can do everything automatically; it can take beans and ground-coffee to make coffee, espresso, and cappuccino. As well as make a hot cup of T.
For the bean drinks you can adjust the grind finesse, the strength, and the amount per cup. If you remove the milk holder you get a hot water dispenser.

I previously had the DeLonghi Dedica Style EC685.M but she was a very finicky bitch to make coffee; there was a tiny hole in the cup-handle that could and would stop pouring when it was clogged. It would look clean but you could only be sure when it poured, if nothing came out well fuck that shit.
Also it could only make espresso, although you could froth milk but it had to be done manually; also a bitch to do because the knob for creating steam was directly above the nozzle. Great design choice, lads. :(
