So I've added a tags input to the new thread page. I'm thinking I'll use the tags and the subject and comments for all threads to create a database of words and how popular they are. There will be some additional weighting used for words that are specifically included as tags and also common words like 'the' and 'a' will be excluded.
I think then for each thread page we take the 20 or 25 most popular words on that page and make a tag cloud using the weighting from the database that covers all threads. The words in the tag cloud will then link to searches using those words.
We could also have a tag cloud for the whole site, perhaps on a separate page.
Thoughts!?! Ideas!?!
