she just places one in, if I recall correctly. Similar with ammo, she seems to have infinite. But I gotta say, all companions are irritating as hell; they walk into traps, into line of fire, never shut the fuck up..etc. Even if you send your ex-companion to a settlement they keep talking to you when they see you. That's why I only have (unnamed) settlers at my private station. At least they keep their traps shut!

27/11/15(Fri)01:31

>>31755 Do you have to get fusion cores for her too? She best be finding her own, I'm keeping any I find for me :D

If only all bars could be like this :D

Good news everyone. My new laptop had been dispatched... ...from China (apparently dell don't have European warehouses any more!?!)... ...delivery expected in a week :/

I gave her a miner helmet (saves me placing lights all over the place) and she decided it was the only thing to wear. But the bar is very popular now.

24/11/15(Tue)13:03

ty. Well, you can tell settlers where to live. So if you want your spot settler free, just point them to another settlement (while in workbench mode). Also you can buy a house in Diamond city.

But maybe I'll give the console bench a go, I really like to live in Vault 111..I could make it work ;)

24/11/15(Tue)10:53

Nice little fortress. My brother was telling me that there is a console command that allows to place a workbench anywhere in the game world allowing you to build a settlement anywhere. I haven't used it yet but it could be good.

player.placeatme c1aeb
*you need to enter god mode (tgm) to then build the settlement, and there is no way to get settlers to live there.

>>31743 Probably 2 weeks, and yes if I remember in the excitement :D

23/11/15(Mon)20:29

Unboxing pics when it arrives! (in a week?)

23/11/15(Mon)19:05

The deed is done. I went for the 17 in the end, £1550 without an SSD, I'll get an SSD separately because Dell charge far too much, £130 for 256Gb, but I can get a 500Gb for £135 elsewhere. And now we play the waiting game...

Live a little, JC, You Only Game Perfect Once! Live a little plus a GTX 980M! Drool...oh wait I have a GTX 980 but it's a lesser model cause it lost the M ;)

As for the numeric keypad, you could always get a USB version. Only 6-ish lbs at amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/CDL-Micro-USB-Numeric-Keypad/dp/B000P158OM

23/11/15(Mon)09:03

Hmmm, I notice the Alienware 15 doesn't have a numpad, which would be a pain in the arse with some games, so maybe the 17 is the better option. It's a little bigger and heavier but the price is pretty much the same...
Numpad or Compact!?! Ugh! First world problems are so hard!!! ;D

23/11/15(Mon)03:09

I'm thinking maybe an Alienware 15 with i7-6700 CPU, 980m GPU, 16Gb Ram, 1TB HDD & 500Gb SSD.
Pretty expensive, £1700, but so sweet :D
I gave my self a budget of about £1000, so as you can see I've done a great job of sticking to it XD

22/11/15(Sun)18:19

Mmm...that's one way to get a new computer/laptop. You have an idea what to get?

And here's a house cat mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/513/?

20/11/15(Fri)23:50

I haven't been able to play Fallout all week. I knocked my laptop on to the floor the other day and the screen smashed :(
£40 and several days later and the screen is sorted, but sadly my laptop now has a memory problem and won't boot with two sticks of memory fitted, so I'm limited to 4Gb :(
Thankfully Fallout will run fine with 4Gb but GTA V stutters a lot :(
Perhaps Father Christmas, or me as seems more likely, will bring me a new laptop soon :D

I hope for a mod soon that gives me a kitty companion with the savage fighting skills of a deathclaw :D

For the moment the game officially doesn't support any mods. That's why most of them are terrible or unstable or both. Also installing mods isn't as easy as planting an .esp here or adding meshes there; you gotta sift through .ini files. Although not as hard GTAV though..

>>31698 Nice. I'm still screwing around making Red Rocket a nice little base. I really like all the crafting stuff. Not ventured far in to the map yet, but once I've levelled up a bit I'll take on some missions.

lol! You could hate on steam for the price but I could download the game 3 days in advance and play the minute it turned the 10th.

10/11/15(Tue)23:44

>>31695 Yeah, so the dvd contained 5Gb and you had to download the rest!?! Bastards!
Still the game looks great, even on my modest laptop.
At least I got the game, lots of people who ordered the pip-boy version in the UK, from Game, didn't get it because Game screwed up their payments.

07/11/15(Sat)19:10

Just got confirmation my Fallout 4 DVD has been dispatched. Sweet! :)

07/11/15(Sat)15:12

I could've gotten the game cheaper too at the local intertoys store, but 3 months ago I had enough money. ;)

07/11/15(Sat)13:37

>>31676 23Gb, not too bad. I've ordered it on DVD, mainly because it's cheaper than steam in the UK to buy from Amazon!?! Thankfully the DVD contains a steam key so it'll still work just the same.

I'm just waiting for steam to release the download..don't know how big the game will be. By the looks of the trailer the graphics are amazing (although the footage is from a peasant console) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivStn8l6_9w

>>31673 As for those apps, I still have a old android (4.2) phone, so ..meh

06/11/15(Fri)12:43

Almost forgot...
The PipBoy app is available as of yesterday for smartphones and tablets, so check that out if you haven't already. And the Fallout Shelter game is worth a play too.

06/11/15(Fri)12:40

Not long now... ...almost there... ...just a little longer... :D

The review embargo is up on Monday so I guess we'll have to wait till then to find out if it plays ok. I imagine it'll be pretty playable out of the box, Bethesda seem pretty good at that sort of thing.
Sadly though it looks like windows 10 will be getting a big update the same day, no official word if that is the date yet, which may disrupt playing time while it sorts itself out!?! Stupid Microsoft!!!
